Made for BenBonk Game Jam #2 in 72 hours!

This is my 5th game jam.

Controls:

Move: WAS & D

Zoom in/out: Scrollwheel

Rotate buildings: Q & E

Click and hold cards with LMB to drag them out and then release to drop them.

How to play:

You are trying to build a city, but you only have a very small space to build it on, so you need to build upwards. There are 4 cards at the bottom of the screen which you can click and drag out to the game and the release to create a building. Try to stack as many buildings as you can. You earn points by getting more people to live in your city by building apartment buildings. The buildings are sketchy though. There are things that they don't like and things they like, indicated by + and - in the game. A households happiness-level is indicated by the emoji on the house. Robberies, fires and deceases can happen to the households as well, so you must build emergency services. These events are indicated by other icons. If a building falls onto the ground you do not possess, you loose.

This is what each building does:

-Apartments: Increases your resident-score. Every resident wants a job. Can be effected by events: burglary, decease and fire. If their happiness is too low, they dissappear.

-Factories: Creates a lot of jobs to the residents. Makes residents angry if placed near residents. Makes residents angry if an apartment is hit by the factory.

-Offices: Creates jobs for the residents. Makes residents a little angry if placed near residents. Makes residents a little angry if an apartment is hit by the office.

-Parks: Makes residents happy.

-Museums: Makes residents happy.

-Police stations: Makes residents happy, and can respond to calls about burglary in apartments.

-Fire stations: Makes residents happy, and can respond to calls about fires in apartments.

-Hospitals: Makes residents happy, and can respond to calls about deceased residents.

-Bus stops: Makes residents happy,

-Banks: Makes residents happy, and slows the angriness effect of a burglary so that it's only a third as fast.
